The Washington School-Based Health Alliance (WA SBHA) is hosting a virtual state conference: “Student Health Summit 2023: School-Based Health Care for Health & Educational Justice” on May 2-3, 2023.
WA SBHA will be creating a youth video montage to share at our state conference. This video will highlight the importance of school-based health care, and the impact school-based health centers (SBHCs)* have in the lives of youth.
* School-based health centers (SBHCs) provide integrated medical, behavioral health, and other health care services to students where they already spend much of their time—at school.
We are inviting youth to create and submit a 1- to 2-minute video clip responding to these questions:
- What is your first name? (no last names please)
- What part of the state do you live in: North, East, Central, South, Western WA? (no city or school names please)
- Why is school-based health care important?
- How has a school-based health center (SBHC) impacted you and/or those around you in a positive way? OR
- If you don’t have a SBHC in your school, how could having a SBHC support you and your school community?
SHARE: Do you work with youth in a school or SBHC? Please share this information with them! Download Printable Flyer or Web Flyer.
SUBMIT: Through the form below, or via email to Catherine Crawford at ccrawford@wasbha.org.
DEADLINE: All submissions must be received by April 15, 2023
