SESSION DESCRIPTION:

The Washington School-Based Health Alliance is pleased to be partnering with the national School-Based Health Alliance (SBHA) to offer school-based health center (SBHC) nuts and bolts trainings in Washington during the 2022-2023 school year.

During this interactive session, participants will understand the WHY, HOW, and WHAT of marketing for your school-based health center. 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

Participants will be able to:

  1. Identify the key stages of marketing
  2. Describe target audiences and gatekeepers
  3. Identify two possible vehicles for marketing to your target audience
  4. Understand how to make a marketing plan

WHO SHOULD ATTEND:

Anyone interested in planning, starting up, and operating a SBHC.

PRESENTERS:

Tammy Alexander, MEd is the Vice President of State Relations at the School-Based Health Alliance. She has worked in the school-based health care field at the state and national level since 1993. She joined the School-Based Health Alliance in 2016. Her current work at SBHA includes state relations, policy, consulting, and oral health. Tammy has an undergraduate degree from Oregon State, and she completed her Masters in Education from the University of Virginia in 1979.

Donnie Greco, BA, is a Program Associate at the School-Based Health Alliance and has been so since joining the organization in early 2022. His current work at SBHA includes collaborating with the programs and consulting teams by implementing day-to-day coordination of project operations, developing collaborative learning elements, and providing technical assistance. Donnie has an undergraduate degree from Westminster College (PA) in Psychology.
