Building Sustainable School-Community Partnerships & Programs
Public Health–Seattle & King County and the Washington School-Based Health Alliance invite you to join the third and final installment of our three-part professional development series with the Youth Development Executives of King County (YDEKC). This session on Building Sustainable School-Community Partnerships & Programs will be held on Thursday, April 20 from 10am to noon via Zoom.
If we believe cross-sector partnerships are fundamental to achieving and sustaining student success, then what are we doing to develop and maintain lasting partnerships between school-based health centers, schools, and community-based organizations? In this session we will define sustainability and identify applicable practices within relationship building, strategic communication, documentation, partnership and program quality, and resource development. Participants will share strategies, assess their own partnerships, and take steps to draft a sustainability action plan. Our guiding tools from YDEKC’s School and Community Partnership Toolkit will provide you with resources to explore during the workshop and to apply after the session in depth.
This interactive virtual workshop is designed for leaders at all levels within school-based health centers as well as schools, school districts, and community-based organizations who are developing or managing partnerships between schools and community-based organizations. It is strongly recommended for people who are looking for ways to improve their partnership practices and develop a partnership that lasts for multiple years.
