Webinar September 21: Pediatric Mental Health Care Access (PMHCA) Program and School-Based Health Center (SBHC) Collaboration: Lessons from the Field

PMHCA programs expand access to mental health care for youth by building the capacity of primary care providers to diagnose, treat, and refer youth with mental health conditions. PMHCA programs statewide teleconsultation, training, and resources and referral services are designed to mitigate workforce shortages of psychiatrists during the rising children’s mental health crisis. In recognition of SBHCs as an established model of healthcare that already offers integrated health and behavioral services, SBHA was funded by HRSA (Health Resources and Services Administration) to provide technical assistance to PMHCAs as they expand to SBHCs. Recognizing the benefits of this collaboration, PMHCA programs and SBHCs are already establishing partnerships at both state and local levels, and there are many opportunities for further expansion.

Join us on Thursday, September 21st, from 1:00-3:00 pm ET for an engaging webinar to explore the benefits of collaboration between PMHCAs and SBHCs, share lessons from the field for PMHCA program and SBHC collaboration, and present innovative partnerships between PMHCAs and SBHCs at both the state and local levels. Featuring PMHCA subject matter experts Laura Hurwitz, LCSW, Sarah Rosadini, BA, Petra Steinbuchel, MD, and Rebecca Gostlin, MEd, LPC.
