Funding from Pivotal Ventures and MacKenzie Scott recognizes the critical role of school-based health centers. School-Based Health Alliance has been awarded $23 million from Pivotal Ventures, founded by Melinda French Gates, and MacKenzie Scott in recognition of their work to expand healthcare access in schools that serve families with the lowest incomes. The funding will allow SBHA to launch care coordination initiatives in SBHCs in Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, and Miami; offer expertise to organizations seeking to open or improve SBHCs; drive innovation in program delivery and design; measure the impact of SBHCs; and advocate for policy change.
