The national School-Based Health Alliance seeks to elevate the work of those at the state level who make a difference in school-based health care with the inaugural G.R.I.T. Awards. These awards are designed to recognize individuals who demonstrate genuine (G), resilient (R), innovative (I), and tenacious (T) qualities in their work to promote school-based health care.
The G.R.I.T. Awards are open to nominees from the local to state level in four categories: providers, administrators, advocates, and champions. These individuals work in school-based health centers, providing primary care, behavioral, oral, vision, nutrition, telepresenter services, or provide leadership, support, and oversight to the SBHC team and partners. The awards also recognize advocates and champions who support SBHCs from various perspectives at the local or state level.
Winners of the G.R.I.T. Awards will be announced at the National School-Based Health Care Conference to be held in Washington, D.C., from June 26-28, 2023.
We urge you to take advantage of this opportunity to promote the work of those who make a difference in school-based health care in your state. By submitting nominations for the G.R.I.T. Awards, you can recognize individuals who embody the spirit of G.R.I.T. and support the work of health and school partners.
To submit nominations, please fill out the survey by June 5, 2023. Let us work together to recognize and celebrate those who make a positive impact on school-based health care in our communities!
