The Washington State Department of Health is seeking a Health Services Consultant 3 (HSC 3) to coordinate implementation of legislation to expand the school-based health center (SBHC) program to include behavioral health activities within the Adolescent Health Unit. The HSC 3 ensures the bill is implemented as intended, including working with internal and external partners, statewide and in local communities, on collaborative project planning. The Health Services Consultant 3 refines and manages an effective project communication plan and represents the Department on bill-related issues. The HSC 3 acts as an expert consultant on behavioral health in School Based Health Centers, with the goal of ensuring that all children and adolescents in the state of Washington, regardless of race, ethnicity, nation of origin, insurance status, sexual orientation, and gender identity should have the ability to access and to utilize behavioral health services that meet their individual needs.
