Sea Mar Community Health Centers is hiring a Bilingual Youth Guidance Specialist:
Full-time Youth Guidance Specialist available for Cannon House in Seattle. Under the supervision of the program manager, the youth guidance specialist will implement interventions at Mercer Middle School in Seattle to address discipline, health and wellness, substance use, and/or mental health needs of Black and Brown students. Applicants must have experience working with East African populations and speak at least one of the following languages: Somali, Amharic, Tigrinya and Arabic.
The focus population are students with early signs of behavioral issues that could lead to discipline and suspension in schools with the goal to eliminate suspension and expulsions from school, and time spent in juvenile detention, and strengthen School Based Health Center services by leading care with an anti-racist lens using trauma-informed, person-centered care, and evidence-based behavioral health practices with input from the community.
