FREE Mental Health First Aid Training

Join the Southwest Washington Area Health Education Center (AHEC) for this FREE Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training. MHFA teaches one how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges among adults. In this training, you will learn:• Common signs and symptoms of mental health challenges and substance use challenges.• How to interact with a person in crisis.• How to connect a person with help.• Expanded content on trauma, substance use and self-care. Please note: Two hours of pre-work is assigned and must be completed before the training. Registration closes November 22.

Who Should Attend: Healthcare professionals, administrators, adult students, concerned citizens.
