The Environmental Justice Team at the Department of Health is recruiting young people aged 16-25 from Yakima County, Spokane’s East Central neighborhood, and Tacoma to help design a youth participatory budgeting pilot project in their community focusing on climate resilience and decarbonization. Participatory budgeting is a process where residents decide how to spend a portion of a town, city, or state budget.
Interested youth should complete the application by December 6, 2024. The application can be found in English and Spanish here.
