The Health Center works to advance the success of students by addressing their physical, emotional, and social needs. We provide bi-directional integration of care through medical and mental health services, free of cost to students. We currently have multiple clinic locations in Walla Walla. Each counselor is based at a single clinic location.
We are looking for an experienced mental health counselor who approaches student care with an innovative lens. You will be working collaboratively with school staff, students, THC colleagues, and parents to provide the needed support for students to attain their healthiest self.
General Description: The Mental Health Counselor will provide individual and group mental health counseling sessions for students/clients of The Health Center. This position is approximately 30 hours per week. We follow the Walla Walla Public Schools schedule, which includes summers off, snow days, and work days between 8am-3pm.

This position oversees school-based health services including primary care (i.e. medical, dental, behavioral health, and pharmacy), mobile dental clinic, outreach/education to students and families. This position is also responsible for the ICHS clinics’ patient navigators who act as part of the care team and assist patients with addressing social determinants of health (SDOH). The Community Services Manager will work in collaboration with the Community Access Manager to develop and implement services at ICHS’ community partners’ sites. This position will manage staff providing services at multiple sites and community settings, requiring knowledge of multiple communities served. This position will work with managers, supervisors, administrators and leads across the department and organization to ensure compliance and alignment with clinical practices at ICHS’ community based clinics. This position represents the organization to a variety of community partners including school districts, school administrators, Seattle King County Public Health, Neighborhood House, Eastside Pathways and many others.
